Flutter By : 6

Here it is, the last of the butterflies in my Flutter By range. And a new stitch to boot. Well, for me anyway.

Hungarian braided chain is a bit of a fiddly one, but the effect is so worth the effort – particularly as I chose to use yellow, which doesn't always show up that well on white. Hungarian braided chain is thick enough, though, to give any lighter colour substance.

As always, I'd love to see what you've done with these six designs. So please get in touch with links, uploads or emails of your work.

Download the pattern for Flutter By 6 from the free patterns section on my website. And go to the useful links page for stitch books and online stitch libraries.

The braided chain is so effective and beautifully even!

Your Flutter By series is wonderful, Kelly! The name caught my attention because my husband affectionately recalls his grandfather calling butterflies "flutter bys."

Blessings,
Katy

Beautiful. I'm imagining one of these framed in my daughter's room...
