Bloomin’ Marvellous : 2

This one’s good fun if you’re into learning new stitches. It’s a bit of a sampler. I learnt up and down blanket stitch while working on this bloom – and fell a bit in love with it...

Beautiful embroidery! I made a Jacobean cushion cover many years ago, don't know what happened to it. You don't see this type of embroidery much now, so it's nice to see someone giving it the credit it deserves. You are obviously very skilled! Thanks for the tag btw :)

It is lovely.

To my mind, the most fun with up-and-down buttonhole stitch is when the two uprights have some space between them. Then add an upright stitch between if you want, taller, and add lazy daisy flower petals to it... :)

This is lovely. Thank you for posting it. Look forward to working this sampler and learning some new stitches - though I might have to clear some Christmas gifting out of the way first!

Hi, Kelley - As usual, Very NICE designs - I like both of the bloomin' marvellous patterns, but this second one is absolutely fantastically bloomin' marvelous. I love the variety of stitches!

What a beautiful, informative and motivating blog you have !!! Thanks for sharing your designs and progress, it is really encouraging for me since I tend to have so much in my "Want To Do List" that it ends up being overwhelming with the end result of not getting much done. I think it will also work for me to tackle projects on small scale !
(1st time here through Needle-n-Thread, Mary Corbet's blog and definitely not the last :-D)
